Had a real pleasant afternoon because of this trip! Our guide/Captain was 'Paolo': a very nice and fun man that made sure you felt included. He knew lots of stuff about the environment and he liked answering our questions! Ilha Deserta was so cool to see. Such a big space with very little human (1). The southernmost piece of Portugal is on there btw (sorry Paolo for spoiling). Ilha Farol is everything Ilha Deserta wasn't. It has lots of homes on it, there's a supermarket and a nice lighthouse. Both islands face the lagoon/Ria Formosa and the Ocean. Especially the ocean was amazing to see. If you're near Faro some day, make sure you sail the seas with these guys.
Myself and my partner went on the dolphin seeing trip mid August. This was by far the best boat trip to see dolphins! It was much smaller than the other boats which meant we went much quicker. The driver and guide were fantastic they created waves by going quickly in circles and this made the dolphins folllow the waves and even jumped over them! Within 3 minutes of leaving the harbour we found the dolphins and it was phenomenal! Absolutely the highlight of our holiday! Only wish I had an underwater go pro as the dolphins swam right by the side of the boat . Truly amazing!
We were delighted with this tour. Our expert guide identified the many different birds that we saw. Quality binoculars were provided.
45 minute trip around the lagoon to spot wildlife. Very informative guide who was polite friendly and funny. Really interesting experience. A highlight of our ten days.
We had a lovely trip round the Ria Formosa with an excellent guide. The osprey entertained us with its diving for fish and later seen eating a fish. Lots of other species to see, though the flamingos weren't visible as the tides were too low while we were there. The 16.30 tour is a great end to the day. Thanks.
